You can go to so many places for a single euro, the tramway in the city is an excellent way to get around from north to the med, the trains run east and west so readily from Cannes to Monaco, buses too for a euro! Check out Monaco train time from Eze before you leave the station, train between 4-5 Reach Monaco between 4:30- 5:30, enjoy the small city up the hill, then come down straight to montecarlo photo shots. You can do the hike in either direction but I decided down was probably the most convenient because the buses from old village Eze to Monaco were far less frequent, and walking up really step hills is hard, and more time consuming. The bus takes you up to the road that runs along the cliffs above Nice, so you get a stunning view of the whole area of Nice, especially the clear blue water. How to get there from Nice: Can you see the train tracks we arrived at? A visit to the port is a story in affluence. Unless you really want exercise, I would take a taxi from the train to the lot at Eze. We visited during the winter, so most of the shops and restaurants were closed for the season. The garden is built into the hillside on the ruins of a medieval fortress and offers the most stunning views over the red-tiled roofs. I actually visited there years ago on a excursion off a cruise ship that stopped in Monaco.

The first 112 bus back to Nice after the noon schedule break can be very crowded looking at the long line of people at the 112 stop. Drop into the Eze tourist office when you arrive for printed bus schedules to make it easy. The main thing to see in Eze is the beautiful castle that is located on the very top of the hill. I ask because I would like to visit Eze, but have 2 ladies in my group that while they are mobile, tire very easily. We want to show parents that they can still experience the world with kids! Have thought that maybe we would go to Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild on way back from Monaco instead but just cannot work out if we would get dropped off anywhere near there! You can either take the bus 82 Plateau the la Justice or the bus 112 Monte Carlo. Finally, about 50 minutes into the trek, I spot Eze Village perched high up on the hill! And life in Taiwan was just fine - but life in Nice is truly amazing! Going home I decided to get adventurous and try the Nietzsche trail.

The medieval village of Eze is located high on a hill above the French Riviera, in Provence. Mary , one other thought ; if you are headed for Eze-le-Village ,try to connect via bus when you leave , to La Turbie , which is a bit to the east. Another route that runs to Eze is Bus Route 112 from the Gare Routiere Bus Station in Nice. The bus ride to the spectacular village of Eze will take half-an-hour. I especially loved the use of pastel pink on most buildings! There is a bus in every one hour so its better to check the timetables before coming to Eze. The old village of Eze, along the coast between Nice and Monaco, hangs up in the mountains above the water and crowds. The first few pages are in the direction from Cannes towards Monaco, and further down are the schedules for Monaco towards Cannes. Older kids should be fine. So be prepared to some effort or take your time. Get off Eze station, take bus 83 to ge rem , come back in same bus back to the station. This will allow you to explore the beach area before hopping on bus 100 for a ride back to Nice.
